Thousands of lives were lost, but billions of pesos were given. Thousands of people are grieving, but millions of people are praying.

Typhoon Yolanda was the most destructive typhoon to ever make a landfall in history. It destroyed a lot of homes and establishments; yet it united the whole world as one and especially united the Philippines as one nation. Filipinos from all over the world did their best to donate and raise funds for their beloved country. Even non-Filipinos did philantrophic actions in order to help the typhoon victims.

As one Filipino nation, we would like to thank all those who donated and sympathized with our fellow Filipinos. Thank you for all the prayers that you have offered for our country. No words can express how grateful we are as we were informed of all the help that we have received.

God allowed this to happen for a purpose. It was an eye-opener for all of us to take care of Mother Nature, not only for our generation, but for the generations to come. God administered us as caretakers of all His creations; and this includes nature. Caretakers do not seek to destroy but to protect, maintain and flourish. Let this catastrophe serve as a lesson to each and every one of us to do our part as caretakers of mother nature.

This was during our Family Encounter Weekend at La Salette, Silang, Tagaytay last month. It's a church activity where your family reconnects with each other. It helps the family bring back the connection and bonding they imagined or want. Anyway, if you're wondering who is the child beside me, that's my very sweet godchild Buchai. We served as presenting families where we do talks about bringing the family's closeness back and stuff like that.

Anyway, about my outfit. I wore a simple white long-sleeves shirt and added that Bohemian feel necklace. And yes, I think it's kinda bohemian with its vintage design. And of course my awesome red galaxy leggings. I didn't intended to look Bohemian-ish but when I wore this outfit it gave me that feeling. Plus the place we took this picture is just Bohemian-ish. (Is there even a word like that? Hahahaha!)

Had a mini-photoshoot for a friend's project. We shot this at Camella homes. Had so much fun doing this shoot plus of course, bonding with her. We did a lot of shots but I only chose this because I think this was cool. Hahaha! Well again, hooray for my "trying-hard-to-be-confused-look". Anyway about the gown, it was very comfortable plus for those who like to hide your chubby arms or doesn't want to show off your underarm, I advise that you choose gowns with sheers like this. Not only it adds sexiness but also you wouldn't worry about your "insecurities". And again, if you choose ball gowns I also advise that you make sure that the upper part of the gown has a good fit. I mean, it doesn't look good if you are in a ball gown and yet the fit sucks. Especially if it has no strap to support it or else your gown would fall and you would like be raising it up again and again. So yep, always consider good fittting!

"You are my lamp, O Lord; the Lord turns my darkness into light." -2 Samuel 22:29.

In every dark situation you are in, no matter how little it may be, there is always a light in it. But finding the positive side in every negative is always a choice. It's up to you whether you'll see the dark situation as entirely negative or look at the bright side of it.

Yes, life is unfair; that's how nature was made by God. But enjoying life already depends on your outlook of it. Be positive! There's more to life than your problems. Lift them all up to God and He will make miracles which you never knew was possible. :)
As time passes by, theatrical performances become less and less popular. People already prefer to watch motion pictures at cinemas. It was actually my first time to go to the Cultural Center of the Philippines and the experience was a total blast! I was excited to see the exhibit for I am really amazed as to how theatrical performances were made and executed. Being able to see Badong Bernal's works made me appreciate the art and beauty of the classical theater. It made me think that this kind of industry is not just something to belittle because it takes so much patience and creativity in order to present something like what Badong Bernal did. I wish that other people who were able to see the exhibit felt the same way as I did for this is really something worth seeing.

Simple get up, isn't it? Wore this last week at the office. Yep, this is my "day to day" attire. A simple tee, pants and flats then I'm good to go! I wasn't supposed to have an outfit shot but because I was thinking that this wasn't good to blog but thanks to Mr. Dawn De Leon (an employer at Campaigns&Grey) I had good shots for this ootd :)

By the way, speaking of Campaigns&Grey, I'm currently having my internship here and so far, I'm enjoying my stay here. As of now, I am their longest intern yet. Well, hoping I could be part of this ad agency that's why I am working extra hard so they could see that I am deserving to be here.

So enough about my internship, about my outfit, I decided to pair my shirt with this red pants so it wouldn't look dull. And as you can see. I'm wearing my doll shoes socks, and it's not nice. HAHAHA! Next time I will try to hide it or better yet, just take it off. But besides that, I would say I love this outfit. Simple yet eye-catching.

Okay, before I came up with this, I pressed the "delete" button for about 100 times! Hahahaha! This only proved that I still have difficulties in creating paragraphs. I hope we could make this blog work, right Ses? Anyway, to introduce ourselves I'm Apol, the one on the left in the picture, and Rhobz on the right thus, The Villaluna Sisters (TVS)!

I’m Apol, a senior Digital Arts student from iACADEMY, Makati. I am a self-proclaimed artist and designer; a graphic designer. I am currently having my internship at Campaigns and Grey Philippines which is one of the best advertising agencies in the world. A dancer of Lion King: The Musicale 2010, three-time awarded as Most Valuable Player in Volleyball (2009-2012) and performed at PICC for Pagibig's Anniversary concert were my greatest achievements as of the moment. Winning as the Junior Prom Princess 2009 and being the Best Dressed at a friend's debut were my "little" recognitions at being fashionable. I hope that I could be able to also achieve different awards/recognitions in line with my course.

To introduce my sister, this was her "bio-poem" in one of her subjects:
Rhobz
Crazy, funny, bubbly, friendly
Lover of sugar, spice and everything nice
Who feels blessed
Who needs food, clothes and shelter
Who loves God, my family, friends and photography
Who hates backstabbers, pretenders and arrogant people
Who fears failure, being friendzoned and forever alone
Who values her dignity, time and loved ones
Who is proud of being a child and servant of God
Who has lots of achievements but still wants to prove more
Who would like to see myself being a successful photographer in the fashion world
Who is currently taking up AB Photography at De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde
Who is determined to reach her goals and dreams by being responsible and independent.
Resident of Cavite
Villaluna

So why did we gave blogging a try? It’s because we wanted to share our experiences, stories, lessons learned, and of course, our bonding as sisters that might inspire other people. You could expect outfit posts, random photography shots, tips & tricks, and other interesting stuff you might wanna read about. As newbies, we'll try our best to keep this blog enjoying and refreshing to read. Suggestions and comments are very much welcomed :)
